Lo scopo di questo tour è concentrarsi sul suo regno dal 1198 al 1250. Fu un periodo molto importante nella storia della Sicilia, quando l’isola ebbe un ruolo centrale nelle relazioni internazionali in Europa e nel Mediterraneo. Migliaia di tedeschi, soprattutto dalla Svevia, si trasferirono in Sicilia e si concentrarono principalmente a Corleone. Palermo fu culturalmente caratterizzata dalla Scuola Siciliana, movimento che fondò la prima lingua italiana scritta: il siciliano. È il tempo delle crociate, dei conflitti con il Vaticano, è anche il tempo della soluzione musulmana in Sicilia: una guerra civile interna all’isola contro la popolazione musulmana e per la loro espulsione.
